Part Time Security Officers

The Iowa State Fair Department of Public Safety / Police Department is accepting applications for Part Time Security Officers

The applicant must be willing to work a minimum of 8, twelve hour days during the state fair employment period.

Additionally, there will be other opportunities throughout the year for part time security officers to work during major events on the grounds. These duties include, but will not be limited to securing specific locations, gate access, traffic direction, Providing event security to the event.

Applicant must complete an application and successfully complete a criminal history and background check.  When applying, be sure to include any and all training and experience you may have that would benefit you in this type of position. Iowa State Fair Department of Public Safety Application

Part Time Police Officers

The Iowa State Fair Police Department is accepting applications for Part Time Police Officers to work during the 2019 Iowa State Fair. The applicant must be willing to work a minimum of 8,  twelve hour days during the state fair employment period which, for public safety, runs August 4–19, 2019. Applicant must be an ILEA certified peace officer. Applicants will also be required to take an MMPI test (if you have not taken one in the past year), be fingerprinted and a background check will be conducted. This is mandatory per Iowa Administrative Code. Additionally there may be other opportunities throughout the year for part time work for major events on the grounds; however, this is not guaranteed. Iowa State Fair Department of Public Safety Application

Part time dispatcher

Accepting applications for part time dispatcher for the Iowa State Fair Police Dept to work during the 2019 Iowa State Fair.   Applicant must be available to work a minimum of 8, twelve hour days during the Iowa State Fair employment period, which is August 4–Aug 19, 2019.  Applicant must be NCIC certified, able to pass background check and will be fingerprinted.  Additionally there may be opportunities throughout the year for part time work during major events on the grounds; however, this is not guaranteed.   Applications are available on the state fair website at iowastatefair.org
